I’m very proud and honored to have The Shadow King move onto a semifinalist position within Screencraft’s Short Story Contest – Check out a list of current titles:
Also, Weirdbook has accepted my short story, Juliet’s Moon, for publication in their 41st issue. Douglas Draa is the best editor around. Thank you, Doug. Thank you Wildside Press and Weirdbook.
I’m sorry for the posting hiatus, but I do have some exciting updates to share. CyberWeird Stories has been inducted into the Self-e Library Select group of books, which means you can find it in your local public library’s e-book selections. I’m proud and thrilled by this honor and hope you’ll consider looking up CyberWeird Stories or one of the other fantastic books they offer in their system.
“Taking out the Trash,” a scary short story about an alley garbage bin that never needs to be emptied has been accepted by WeirdBook for Nov. 2018. “Dead Line” is featured in #36 along with many other fantastic stories – Pick up a copy today. My most profound respect and admiration go to Douglas Draa, the world’s best editor and a staunch supporter of weird fiction.
McFarland Books has offered me a non-fiction book contract for “Doctor Dodo – On the Edge of Extinction” about how technology is undermining the Doctor-Patient relationship and what can be done to save it. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Rachel Weeks, Elaine Moore, and the McFarland team for this privilege and responsibility. Release date in late 2018 or early 2019.
A new Goodreads book giveaway starts Dec 1 for CyberWeird Stories – Signed, dated, first edition, first print hardcovers. Keep your eyes open and, as always, stay weird.
